About The Therapist
Richard H. Stout has been in Private Practice in Central Florida since 1992.
Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Comparative Religions from Carson-Newman College, and later was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
Richard is licensed by the State of Florida as a Psychotherapist, is a National Certified Counselor, and is certified by the National Association of Forensic Counselors as a Clinical Criminal Justice Specialist. He is also a Certified Traumatologist and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Divorce/Juvenile Dependency/Civil Mediator.
He has had additional training and experience in Psychiatric Triage in the ER at Central Florida Regional Hospital, providing individual and group psychotherapy services for inpatient treatment programs at Florida Hospital East (formerly Orlando General Hospital), South Seminole Hospital (formerly West Lake Hospital), Lakeside Alternatives (formerly Orange County Mental Health Services) and The Center for Drug-Free Living. In addition, Richard has facilitated numerous Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD) for victims of traumatic events in the workplace.
In all aspects of his professional experience, Richard's primary focus is to assist individuals and families in reaching their goals to reduce conflicts and increase coping skills in order to improve their quality of life and overall well-being.
